Fire TV specifics to know
- Menu names vary. Depending on the software version, Amazon labels the device menu My Fire TV or Device & Software.
- Apps installed with Downloader do not update through the Amazon Appstore. Update them from the same official source you used, as our TiviMate and Smart STB guides explain.
- Vega OS models cannot install Android app files at all. If Downloader cannot install a player, check which system your model runs.
- Storage is small on sticks, and Amazon asks for at least 500 MB free for system updates.
Fix it on the Fire TV
- Restart the Fire TV. Go to Settings, My Fire TV (or Device & Software), then Restart. Unplugging the power adapter for one minute works too.
- Clear the player's cache. Go to Settings, Applications, Manage Installed Applications, choose the app and select Clear Cache.
- Clear its data if it still fails. On the same screen, Clear Data resets the app and signs you out; add your Streamora details again afterwards. On Fire TV Cube, Amazon also lists Force Stop before this step.
- Check the storage. Under Settings, My Fire TV, About, Storage, make sure there is space; uninstall apps you no longer use to free it.
- Test the network. In Settings, select Network and press Play/Pause on the remote. The Network Status tool checks the link from the Fire TV to the router and from the router to the internet.
- Restart the router if the test fails: unplug the modem and router, wait one minute, then plug them back in.
- Update the system. Check for a software update under About in Settings.
Match the symptom to the next step
- Plays, then pauses: the network test and fix buffering.
- Menus slow, remote laggy: storage and restart first, then reduce streaming lag.
- App closes on its own: cache, data, then a reinstall from the official source; see app keeps crashing.
- Login or playlist refused: Xtream login or M3U link.
If your details are refused on the Fire TV and on your phone, the account is the likely cause. A Streamora subscription plays on one screen at a time. Message us and we check it.
